Current Technical Facts
- Strike IQ has no INTERNET permission.
- There are no accounts, cloud sync, ads, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or server APIs.
- Bowling history, shot context, equipment, and statistics remain in the local Room database.
- Statistics are calculated locally from saved bowling facts.
- Portable export is explicitly initiated by the user and written to a document location selected through Android's document provider.
- Import reads a user-selected file, validates it locally, and replaces local data only after confirmation.
- Android platform backup is enabled for the Room database only. Depending on the user's Android backup settings and transport availability, Android may store and restore that database through platform backup or device-to-device setup.
- Strike IQ does not receive, operate, or inspect the platform backup; portable exports remain user-controlled files.
- Before replace-all import, the app keeps one recovery ZIP in private no-backup storage. It is not transmitted and is removed with app storage.
- Deleting app data or uninstalling removes installed local history; recovery then depends on an available Android restore/device transfer or a retained portable export.

The release owner must recheck the merged manifest, dependency graph, and exact Play definitions for every release. Adding any networked SDK or data transfer invalidates this worksheet and requires a new approved spec/ADR.

Who Operates Strike IQ
Strike IQ is operated by StrikeIQ. This policy explains how Strike IQ handles information in the Android app.
Data Stored On Your Device
Strike IQ stores bowling leagues, tournaments, events, games, frames, shots, shot context, notes, bowling balls, maintenance history, and derived statistics locally on your device.
Data Collection And Sharing
Strike IQ has no account system or developer-operated server. The app does not send your bowling data to the developer, sell it, or share it with other companies. It contains no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK.
Android Backup And Device Transfer
When Android device backup is enabled, Android may back up and restore the Strike IQ database through platform backup or device-to-device setup. Android and your device or account settings control this process. Strike IQ and its developer do not receive, inspect, or control the backup, and restoration is not guaranteed.
Portable Export, Import, And Local Recovery
You can export a portable Strike IQ backup to a document location you choose. Import reads a file you select, validates it locally, and replaces installed data only after confirmation. Before replacement, Strike IQ may keep one private recovery copy inside app storage. Exported files remain under your control.
Security And Data Handling
Installed data is kept in Strike IQ's Android app storage and is available to the app through Android's application sandbox. Portable files are protected according to the storage location and services you choose. Keep exported copies only in locations you trust.
Retention And Deletion
Installed bowling data remains until you edit or delete it, clear Strike IQ storage, or uninstall the app. You can discard the private recovery copy from Settings. Clear storage and uninstall remove installed data and private recovery, but do not delete portable files you saved elsewhere. Android may retain a platform backup according to its own settings and policies.
Children's Privacy
Strike IQ does not intentionally collect children's data or any user data through a developer-operated server.
Changes To This Policy
If Strike IQ's data handling changes, this in-app policy and its effective date will be updated before the changed release is distributed.
